New York, NY – Romana’s Pilates International will present Forward and Up NYC 2025, a three-day conference at the Westin New York Times Square from Friday, August 29 through Monday, August31. Pilates instructors and practitioners from around the world will gather for three days of workshops, talks, training and a celebration of Sari Mejia Santo, daughter of RPI founder Romana Kryzanowska, on her birthday. Proudly sponsored by Gratz Pilates, this year’s conference will include talks by grandmaster instructor trainers Sari Mejia Santo, Juanita Lopez, Cynthia Lochard and Daria Pace, as well as senior master instructors, who Romana and Sari hand- picked to uphold their work.
“Forward and Up NYC is an opportunity for Pilates instructors to train with the best, elevate their teaching, continue their education and learn how to grow their own studios around the globe,” said grandmaster instructor trainer Daria Pace, daughter of Sari Mejia Santo and granddaughter of Romana Kryzanowska. “My mother and grandmother studied directly with Joseph Pilates in New York and inherited his original studio at 939 8th Avenue. Romana’s Pilates International is strictly teaching Joe’s own methods, which help both the body and mind. At Forward and Up NYC, participants are studying with the keepers of the Pilates lineage, in the city that introduced the physical and mental benefits of Pilates to the whole world.”
As part of the opening keynote presentation, John Riccitiello, owner of presenting sponsor Gratz Pilates, and Pace will discuss the history and future of the Pilates industry. The conference is also sponsored by Pilates Pro Maintenance, Pilates-ology, and Lifespan Pilates.
